Our No Refund Policy
Built by JJ operates under a strict NO REFUND policy. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- All payments are final and non-refundable
- All deposits are non-refundable
- No exceptions will be made
Why We Have This Policy
Web development is a service-based business that involves significant time, effort, and expertise. Once work begins:
- Time spent on your project cannot be recovered
- Custom code and designs are created specifically for you
- Other projects may have been declined to accommodate yours
- Resources are allocated exclusively to your project
Before Payment
Before making any payment, please ensure you:
- Fully understand the scope of work
- Have reviewed and approved the project proposal
- Are committed to the project
- Have the budget for the entire project
- Have read and agree to our Terms of Service
Deposits
- A 50% deposit is required to begin work
- Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances
- Deposits secure your spot in our project queue
- Work will not commence until the deposit is received
Final Payments
- Remaining balance is due upon project completion
- Final files are delivered only after full payment
- Payments for completed work are non-refundable
Situations Where Refunds Will NOT Be Issued
To be completely clear, refunds will NOT be issued for:
- Change of Mind - You decide you no longer want or need the project
- Dissatisfaction - You are not satisfied with work that meets agreed specifications
- Business Changes - Your business circumstances change
- Delays Caused by You - You fail to provide materials or feedback on time
- Third-Party Issues - Problems with hosting, domains, or other external services
- Scope Changes - You want different features than originally agreed
- Competitor Comparison - You find a cheaper alternative
- Project Abandonment - You abandon the project before completion
- Unrealistic Expectations - Results do not match unspecified expectations
- Any Other Reason - This list is not exhaustive
Project Cancellation by Client
- You may cancel at any time by providing written notice
- You must pay for all work completed up to cancellation
- Your deposit will NOT be refunded
- Any additional payments made are NOT refundable
- You will receive work completed up to the cancellation date
Project Cancellation by Us
In the rare event we cancel a project, we will:
- Provide written notice with reasoning
- Deliver any completed work
- Retain payment for work completed
We may cancel if you violate our Terms of Service, fail to pay, become unresponsive, or request illegal work.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
WARNING: Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without attempting to resolve the issue with us directly is considered a violation of our Terms of Service.
If you initiate an illegitimate chargeback:
- We will dispute the chargeback with evidence of services rendered
- We may pursue legal action to recover funds
- You may be liable for additional legal fees and costs
- We will report the incident to relevant fraud databases
What We Guarantee
While we do not offer refunds, we are committed to delivering quality work:
- Clear Communication: We maintain open communication throughout the project
- Specification Adherence: We deliver work according to agreed specifications
- Bug Fixes: We fix bugs in delivered work for 30 days after completion
- Revisions: We include revision rounds as specified in your agreement
- Professionalism: We conduct ourselves professionally at all times
